Happy Father's Day

This year for Father's Day, the theme was pictures. I bought webcams for each of us so that we can Skype from Clearwater to Houston while Daddy is away. Carson is looking forward to bedtime stories everynight with Daddy. We also surprised Greg with portraits for Father's Day this year...

I also put together another Heritage Makers book for Father's Day called "Then I became your Dad" It chronicles the story of Greg's life at each stage from baby to student to soldier to husband before he became their Daddy. Greg loved it and I'm sure the kids will love knowing more about their Dad. Click the link below to take a peek:

On Saturday, we had both dads and the whole family together for a Father's Day cookout...

Rock on Grandpa Larry!

For the Dads, we bought the coolest new gadget...The Flip video camera. It's a tiny hand sized recorder that connects straight into the computer to download and share video clips. They are having loads of fun with them. I'm gonna have to put this on my wish list!

Summer is here!

Carson had his last day of Pre-K 2 this week. He has enjoyed his class this year with Miss Vera and all of his little buddies (especially Ava, Bradley, Shaw and Connor.) His developmental report showed great progress in his social, communication, physical, creative and math skills. We are looking forward to a busy summer with a continuation of his 3 mornings per week at preschool summer camp, swimming lessons, working with a private tutor on academics and of course play dates with his best neighborhood buddies Kaitlin and Emily.

We kicked off the summer with a Saturday at Nana and Grandpa's house. It was a fun visit with Chris, Lori, Austin, Kathleen and Dave. We had a feast of great food with Nana and Lori in the kitchen and Grandpa at the grill. Of course there were many laughs in the pool and Carson had tons of fun playing with Miss Beasley the dog. Mia got her Nana fix and Greg and I drove home talking about how blessed we are to be able to enjoy days like this with family.

The Patels Visit

BJ and Divya came over for a long weekend recently and what a fun visit we had with them. We spent a day at the Dark Continent where the guys conquered roller coasters... B.J. was not scared at all...LOL!

We hand fed giraffes in an open truck safari.

Then we headed off to spend a few days at the Sand Pearl at Clearwater Beach...my favorite getaway :-)
An afternoon of poolside cocktails...

Tampa Bay Rays: you know its a good game when you make it on the Jumbo-Tron AND the Rays win!

B.J. and Divya spoiled our kids with awesome gifts. They introduced Carson to the wonderful world of motorized vehicles...he is forever changed. Our tractor boy now lives for cruising the neighborhood. Just look at the joy on his face!

And yes, that is a Tiffany's box...Mia got her first diamonds from B.J. & Div! Check out the smile on her face :-)

Digital Scrapbooking

If I only knew then what I know now...
After investing ALOT of money and shelf space into all of the stuff you need to be a scrapbooker, I discovered the world of digital and wow, am I impressed. My most recent project was an ABC book for Carson using his photos. He loves it (all kids love looking at pics of themselves.) The pro's: you have as much artistic freedom as traditional scrapbooking, the books are so professional looking and sturdy, you can digitally scrapbook anywhere (even Starbucks), there is no mess to clean up, if your book gets damaged, you just order a new one, no more running to Michael's for MORE stuff! I'm sold ;-)
